Before I start, I spend some time getting to know you or listening to stories about family and loved ones you want to honor. Next, we decide on the best reference photo if you haven’t chosen one already. Then, I get to work, sketching, layering ephemera (elements that make the piece personal and unique): colors, backgrounds, text, even fabric that captures the subject in a way traditional portraits do not. Unique. Personal. Meaningful.
